Day 14 - Checking In With SSG Dillman

Ben’s Recruiter

Both my wife and I have very high praise for the Army Recruiting Center in Newark, New York. Ben’s recruiter, SSG Dillman, has been very supportive through the whole process. Actually, everyone at the station have been incredible and supportive. When we had questions, they were there to answer any and all questions, no matter how big or how small.

Yes, this has been and continues to be a huge transition for us as we get accustomed to Ben being at Fort Benning, GA for infantry training. But even when it came to questions about infantry, SSG Dillman was ready with an answer as he’s infantry too. SSG Dillman even met with my parents and talked with them about the Army and answered any and all of their questions not only about Ben, but also about Ryan and the Reserves.

So this blog post is a huge shout out to the Newark, New York Army Recruiting Center and all their support!

    1. Glad you like the pic! SSG Dillman was great. Just before I took the first picture he said – “Wait! I need my cover!” (That’s Army lingo for hat).

  1. Dr. Rus, What a great service your doing for military families by demonstrating a creative way to honor the service on their loved ones. With Utmost Respect ~ Semper Fi, Hank

  2. What an incredibly awesome site! And, what a unique way to show your love and support for your son. I’ve subscribed and looking forward to reading more. I never knew “cover” was lingo for hat. Neat. Love learning new things!
