Weatherman’s Day – February 5, 2011
Celebrating Weatherman’s Day!
High Five to Meteorologist Brian Neudorff!
Today, Saturday, February 5th, is Weatherman’s Day. Honestly, it is. I don’t make this stuff up. As a result, it seemed fitting that we track down our favorite weatherman – Brian Neudorff, the morning meteorologist from WROC-8 in Rochester, New York. Brian and I have been friends for a number of years. The radio station I work at, 1420 WACK just outside of Rochester, has a relationship with WROC for our weekday weather forecast. Every weekday morning I call Brian at 4:45am for him to record a weather forecast which we then use on the air.
Brian and I have watched NASCAR races together, attended NASCAR races together and our families have spent Christmas’s together too. All in all, it’s great to not only call Brian friend, but to also have a very accurate meteorologist on my cell phone speed dial if I need a quick weather update. Preparing for the weekend on Friday I posted on my Twitter account…
“Saturday is Weatherman’s – or should that be
Weather-Person’s – Day! Hug a weatherman!”
That tweet generated some fun responses and someone suggested they wanted to see a picture of me hugging Brian. Well, I decided instead of me giving Brian a hug, it would be more appropriate for General Sarge to greet Brian! Hugs were given, but the best picture was the high five.
Staying Army Strong!
