Day 80 – Task Force Member – PFC Buddy

Task Force Member – PFC Buddy
April 4, 2011

After having a somewhat slower day yesterday, General Sarge was busy early again this morning processing paperwork for his continually growing Task Force. It takes a lot of “paws” to keep things running smoothly here at General Sarge HQ. With that in mind, General Sarge is happy to introduce you to the latest member of his Task Force, PFC Buddy!

Private First Class Buddy is no stranger to General Sarge. They’ve been friends for quite a while now so when PFC Buddy said he wanted to be part of the Task Force, General Sarge processed his paperwork rather quickly. PFC Buddy’s human-owner is a SPC in the Army Reserves based out of Webster, NY. SPC Tracy Bonzo has become a great friend of ours too.

Following in the footsteps of his human-owner, PFC Buddy is in charge of Civil Affairs. As we continue to branch out in our support of families and troops, making sure civilians are fully aware of what we’re doing is very important. I’m sure PFC Buddy will be great help when it comes to interacting with parents and other family members with loved ones in the Army.

Help Us Get To Fort Benning

We’re very excited about Ben’s upcoming graduation, but we’re also asking for help to off-set our costs to Fort Benning. There are now two ways you can help us as we prepare for the trip.

The proceeds from the above purchases go to our
“Families First Campaign”.

Also, if you would like to make a direct tax-deductible donation to us you can do that as well. Just send me an email for information about how to do that.

Where Is General Sarge?

As a quick recap from yesterday, @BlazingMinds and @SlappyBear recently pointed out a really cool website where you can make fun pictures. The site is called PicJoke and I thought it would be fun to have a Where is General Sarge picture every day too!

Day 80 - General Sarge - Brain Scan

So – Where Is General Sarge Today? – Apparently some Doctors decided they needed to do a brain scan of General Sarge. After all, for a Teddy Bear, General Sarge does have a higher IQ than just your average bear. (Rumor has it General Sarge is even smarter than Yogi Bear! But, that is just a rumor). I’m sure by the time the Doctor’s are finished with their tests they will discover General Sarge is a pretty smart Build-A-Bear.

  1. Hope General Sarge is OK after his brain scan, I have to say though that I do believe that General Sarge is “Smarter than the average bear!” 😉

    1. Hi Karen;

All went well with the brain scan. The Doctor’s are still amazed and say I just might be “smarter than the average bear”. (But don’t tell Yogi that). They wanted to do more tests but I told them I have too much to do as I work to encourage military families and try to get things rolling my P90X/Bear Dare.

    1. Hey there Slappy!

Thanks for stopping by! We’re getting quite the Task Force here aren’t we. I think Dr. Rus said I just have to complete paperwork on two more Task Force members and then we’ll be all set for a while. Then he said we need to focus on getting the P90X/Bear Dare date all set in place.

      So much to do!

  2. Welcome PFC Buddy! Your contribution to the task force will be a very important one as General Sarge works his mission to assist recruits and their family members. Getting the message out to civilians, regarding this program, and all that the military is doing is a very important on indeed.

Glad to see that General Sarge made it through his brain scan okay and that everything was in the proper place. With all that General Sarge has on his plate lately it is amazing that things aren’t more scattered up there.
