Getting Rid of Squeaks – May 12, 2011
The nice weather is here and that means it’s time to make sure Stella is tuned up, squeak free and clean for summer cruisin’ time. You may remember General Sarge helping me out in the winter making sure Stella was shoveled out just in case we had to move her fast. As a quick refresher, Stella is my 1998 Mustang GT. A few weeks ago I officially pulled her out from her long winters nap. She had an oil change and is all set for another summer of fun.
But, the other day I did discover her doors were squeaking some.
So, that meant it was time to pull out the WD-40 and give her hinges and joints a few squirts to stop the squeaks. Of course General Sarge was more than willing to give me a helping paw too. It’s one of those little jobs that you keep saying “I have to do that” but then never get back to doing.
Today as soon as I arrived home from work General Sarge was reminding me of the task at hand as he sat ready with the WD-40 can.
Getting Fit As A Fiddle
Since General Sarge and I were taking care of squeaks on hinges for Stella today we also thought it would be a good idea to mention the Bear Dare again too. Now General Sarge just wants to squirt everyone with WD-40 to fix any hinges on our bodies that might be squeaking or making noise. I told him while WD-40 is supposed to fix all squeaks, I didn’t think that would work on human bodies. I do believe I have him convinced WD-40 is not the answer to fixing human squeaks. But I think he’s checking with D.S. Buff about that too.
In the meantime, don’t forget the P90X-Bear Dare is coming up. We’re aiming to start on June 1 when we go from “Fluff to Buff”. We already have a lot of information out there about this and here are some important links to look at so you’re ready to get into great shape. We’re here to encourage you at General Sarge HQ.
