Welcome to 2018!
This is the time of year when many prophetic people release what the Lord is stirring in their spirits for the coming year. I consider it an honor and privilege to walk alongside Apostle Doug Schneider at The Embassy Church in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. At our New Year’s Eve Service this year Apostle Doug brought an incredible message about a renewed grace the Lord is releasing as we enter into A Year of Open Doors and Assignments. I love it when God works like this as at the end of the service he asked me to bring the word the Lord was stirring in me. We always remind people we have not compared notes.
This is what came forth. We are in an exciting time as God is preparing to do incredible and amazing things! Get ready for an open heaven!
2018 Prophetic Word
Delivered December 31, 2017
The Embassy Church, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
God is reminding us this year that we are no longer slaves to fear…we are children of God! He is reminding us that we are more than conquerors. He is ready, willing, and able to walk with us not only into 2018, but through 2018. The Spirit of the Lord declares “I am releasing new levels of grace, empowering you to be all that you are called to be, and to do all that you are called to do”.
For the Spirit of the Lord would say, “I am releasing a season of transition into the midst of My people. During this season I am preparing My people, and raising up an army of believers who will find themselves strategically placed and positioned as ‘repairers and restorers of hope to broken things’. As 2017 was a year of ‘alignment’, know that it also marked the beginning of a season of ‘transition’ that is unfolding now. After ‘alignment’ comes ‘assignment'”, and the Lord declares tonight that He is “preparing His people who are in proper ‘alignment’ to receive their ‘assignment’ in 2018”.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the church in this day. For as I declared through John to the Church in Philadelphia, I once again declare to you in this day. David’s key is in My hand”, says the Lord, “opening doors no one can lock, and locking doors no one can open. I see what ‘you’ve done’, now see what ‘I am about to do in your midst’. I am opening doors before you this day that no one can slam shut”.
“The year of 2018 is a year of open doors, leading to His assignments for your life. Even though you might be weary”, the Lord says “I am strengthening you to go through the door of assignment I have prepared for you. Because you have kept my Word with passionate patience, I will keep you safe. As I encouraged the church in Philadelphia in the Book of Revelation, I encourage you this day – ‘Keep a tight grip on what you have and let no one distract you and steal your crown’. As you move from ‘alignment’ to ‘assignment’ I will make each conqueror a pillar in the sanctuary of God. I will write My Name on you”, says the Lord, “and even give you a new name in My Kingdom. For as you move from ‘alignment’ to assignment’ you will truly discover your purpose and destiny in Me”.
The Spirit of the Lord would say, “Not only are the open doors for ‘assignment’ – but for those who do not weary from well-doing – the open doors will release ‘increase’ and ‘favor'”. For just as in the days of Ezekiel, the Lord is once again declaring, “I will produce branches of fruit for My people and they will come home. I will look on you with favor, and I will make you prosper more than before. I will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you. I will remove from you your heart of stone, and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit in you to follow my decrees and you will be careful to keep My laws” (Ezekiel 36:8-11; 25-27).
As we move from ‘alignment’ to ‘assignment’ in the year 2018, the Lord declares “the season of transition has begun”. For those who have an ear to hear, “prepare to move from ‘alignment’, into your ‘assignment’, which in turn will release a place of abundance, increase and favor as He opens doors which no one can shut.
May you have a blessed and incredible 2018!
