Looking Out My Window: Prophetic Pondering’s – A Roaring Wind
Over the past few years God has been stirring in my spirit words about a new sound of worship combined with a new sound of warfare. Linked with what He’s saying about warfare worship, He’s said time and time again “the time is near”.
With this changing sound I also hear the Lord saying we will move into new and incredible places of victory. I hear the Lord saying; “No longer will My people be plundered. For with this new sound My advancing army shall go forth and plunder the enemy”.
Standing on the Precipice
Since 2015 the Lord keeps reminding me of His word in Ezekiel 12. I also referenced the passage in the previous post, Restoration of Promises in 2020.
“Again a message came to me from the Lord: ‘Son of man, you’ve heard that proverb they quote, ‘Time passes, and prophecies come to nothing’. Tell the people, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will put an end to this proverb, and you will soon stop quoting it. Now give them this new proverb to replace the old one: ‘The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled. There is no more delay!” (Ezekiel 12:21-23, 28)
Up until now I’ve heard Him say, “I am ‘quickening’ this word to My people”. In other words, in days past He’s been stirring this passage in the minds of His people. The stirring is but a foretaste of what is to come.
In July of 2016 the Lord dropped the following word into my spirit;
“My people are standing on the precipice of a roaring wind of My Spirit. Listen closely for the still small voice in the midst of the rushing wind. In the days ahead as My Spirit rushes over the land My people will need to know how to hear My still small voice. I am quickening the rushing wind of My Spirit and I am also quickening the time it takes for My people to see prophetic words fulfilled. No longer will My people say the prophet speaks of things long in the future. Today I declare a quickening of My Spirit and a quickening of the fulfillment of My word in the midst of My people” (Ezekiel 12:21-28).
A Legal Writ and Document
In 2016 I began praying into the roaring wind seeking direction for what the precipice represented. Initially I found myself with Elijah in the mouth of the mountain listening for the “still small voice of God” (1 Kings 19). However, I now see there is much more than just standing in the mouth of a mountain. Yes, we do need to hear the still small voice in the midst of the roaring wind. But the word precipice means more than just standing at the top of a steep ledge.
A precipice in law represents a legal writ – or document – commanding a person to do something. It also means a person has to appear and show cause for why he or she should not do something. I believe as we find ourselves Standing on the Precipice of a Roaring Wind, the Lord is saying at least two things.
- A new sound is not only quickening “no more delays”, but it’s declaring there are “no more delays”.
- The new sound will cause the enemy to scatter and commands the enemy to payback seven times over what he has stolen.
In his book The Leadership Excellence Devotional Pat Williams writes;
“A vision of the future empowers us to overcome the worst life can throw at us and gives us the power to truly live. To lead victoriously, be a leader of vision”.
“Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled” (Ezekiel 12:23).
