Looking Out My Window: Prophetic Pondering’s – Politics Won’t Save Us

Politics Won't Save Us“When will we realize politics won’t save us, as we need to seek His Kingdom first.” That’s the phrase the Lord dropped into my spirit as I opened my Bible to 2 Samuel 7. In the current Bible I’m using a study note says “A Kingdom That Will Endure”. The people were excited because David had just reunited Judah and Israel. The nation has turned to God and David is told his kingdom will endure. History of course shows the opposite, at least in the natural.

The study note then references Jesus as in the line of David, pointing out how the people were sure He was a political figure. They also believed He would overthrow the government in their favor.

That of course is not what God’s Kingdom is all about. God’s Kingdom is about Him.

A Political Plumb Line

It does not matter which side of the border you’re on in North America, the “political noise is very loud”. I sense the Lord saying He is “dropping a political plumb line in the midst of His people”. I’ve been hearing that for quite sometime along with the phrase “My people are about to have a ‘come to Samuel moment’”. I sense it means He is bringing the Body of Christ to a point in time where a choice must be made.  Will we be “like the nations around us”, or will we truly choose King Jesus.

This is what the Lord dropped into my spirit earlier this week…

“When will My people realize politics will not save them? My people continually miss the fact that as long as they desire to be like the ‘nations around them’ asking for a king, they will never truly recognize My Son as King in their lives and in their midst.”

“My heart,” says the Lord, “is that all will accept My Son and that not one will perish. I am attempting to fulfill the promise I gave to David that My Kingdom shall endure forever. Not David’s kingdom, but My Kingdom through My Son Jesus who is in the line of David, but not as many think in this day.”

The Spirit of the Lord says, “As long as My people seek an earthly savior in the realm of politics, they keep seeking second best. For remember My word declares, ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you”.

Keep encouraged!
