It’s time to use the keys! While ministering in Duluth, MN this summer I sensed the Lord stirring me to look for old keys. After searching a few antique stores, I managed to find 5 old skeleton keys. Since the Duluth trip, I’ve also had a few people give me keys. At first I wasn’t sure exactly why the Lord had me buying these keys. However last week He dropped into My spirit, “My people need to learn how to ‘use the keys’ I’ve already given them.”
“I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid – bind and or lock – on earth will be forbidden – bound and locked – in heaven. Whatever you permit – loose or open – on earth will be permitted – loosed and opened – on heaven” (Matthew 16:19).
Who Has Bewitched You…
I’ve been sitting on this word for a number of months praying into it…
I sense the Spirit of the Lord saying, “I am tiring of My people who keep building forms of religion in order to approach the Throne of Grace. My people do not need a court system or restraining orders to advance My Kingdom.” The Lord is saying, “I have not only already given you the keys to the Kingdom, but I have given you the keys to bind and loose.”
“Now is the time to stop with the foolishness of courts and orders. Now is the time to discover what I have already given you. You have access to the Throne of Grace, so now boldly approach Me through My Son. You already have the keys. Now is the time to use them.”
I hear the Lord asking the same question Paul asked the Galatians – “Who has bewitched you?” (Galatians 3:1)
From ‘Waking Up’… To ‘Identity’
For quite sometime we’ve been declaring, “Wake up you sleepy head city! Wake up you sleepy head people, for the King of Glory is about to enter in” (Psalm 24:7-9 The Message). Many in the Body of Christ are stirring from their slumber and His Army is arising in this day. However, as we enter this New Era, it’s time to move from ‘waking up’ to discovering our ‘identity’ in Christ.
It’s time to use the keys! Now is the time to rise up and understand we do not “pray into victory”. We must realize we pray “from a place of victory”. We have the keys to the Kingdom. Couple this with an understanding of who we are in Christ, and truly the “gates of hell will not prevail” (Matthew 16:18). We are not held captive by the enemy and his gates do not have us hemmed in. It is actually the total opposite. We have the keys to bind and loose. We have the power to break through the “gates of hell,” take back the territory the enemy has stolen, and advance the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
