Think about this for a moment. God always moves in the suddenly. However, when His suddenly arrives, we are often surprised. We pray for something, and suddenly it takes place. We find ourselves in the midst of a trial, and suddenly it ends. It’s safe to say, with God, we are often surprised by the suddenly.
Healing in the Suddenly
My thoughts on the journey today come from Matthew 8. The chapter opens saying, “large crowds followed Jesus as He came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached Him.” The man was then healed. But it doesn’t end there. A Roman soldiers daughter is healed suddenly. Peter’s mother-in-law is healed suddenly. Then, in the evening, many others are healed suddenly.
When Jesus enters the situation, things suddenly change. Whatever is going on in your life, stay focused on Jesus, the suddenly will arrive. When it does, give Him praise for the surprise.
